The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Regent Sports Corporation, of Hauppauge, NY, today announced a voluntary recall of MacGregor Folding Soccer Goals and Mitre Folding Soccer Goals. These goals were sold at Wal-Mart, Ace Hardware and sports and toy stores nationwide from May 2002 through May 2008 for $26. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.

The Uniroyal Soccer program along with Greg's Tire & Service Center is offering a new exciting sweepstakes this year. The lucky grand prize winner of the "Soccer to Go" Sweepstakes will receive a set of Uniroyal® tires, free gas and a car game/entertainment system as well as a $1,000 donation to their soccer organization to put toward field equipment, scholarships and other items as chosen the soccer organization.  MGM Studios has graciously donated 25 DVDs and 15 movie posters to the NC Youth Soccer Association to give away to its members, for their upcoming release HER BEST MOVE, a 'G' rated movie about a young girl who's dream is to play for the Women's National Team.
The drawing will be held Wednesday, August 20 (the DVD release date is the 19th) and DVDs and posters will be mailed from the NCYSA office.

Fall soccer coaches will have their first meeting at 3pm on Sunday, August 3rd at the soccer fields. Please try to attend if at all possible. Coaches will receive their roster at the meeting and will select their practice times and fields.
All Coaches and assistants are required to complete a Risk Management Application with the NC Youth Soccer Association.

Otto, NC. -July 21, 2008 - Macon County Soccer Club will receive support in the form of both funds and equipment from Greg's Tire & Service Center of Otto and the Uniroyal® Soccer Program. Beginning on August 15, children will receive a certificate good for a free soccer ball that can be redeemed at Greg's Tire & Service Center.
Throughout its nine-year history, the Uniroyal Soccer Program has been partnering tire dealers with youth soccer leagues as an effort to strengthen communities. The program and participating dealers have donated nearly $11 million in funds and equipment, including over 818,000 soccer balls, to youth sports programming across the country.
