The Macon County Soccer Club will begin accepting registrations for the Fall soccer season on Sunday, May 23rd (the last day of spring soccer) from 2 pm - 4 pm at the Industrial Park soccer fields. Early regisitration fees will be $50 on May 23rd only. No sibling discount on May 23rd. Registration forms will be available at the registration table.

Children age 4 and up are welcome and will be placed on teams according to age. The registration fee is $60 for players and a $5 discount is available for siblings (note: no sibling discount on May 23rd). The registration fee covers uniform (jersey, shorts and socks), state registration and referee fees. All new players must provide a photocopy of their birth certificate.

Macon County Soccer Club is sponsoring a Women’s High School division for this fall. We hope to have teams competing from Franklin, Rabun Gap and Smoky Mountain. Games will be played Sunday afternoons at the Industrial Park in Franklin. We can schedule home games elsewhere if field, goals, and referees are available. Roster size is limited to 10 due to state High school rules for coaches. Registration money covers uniform, state registration and referee fees. I will need to meet with interested teams or coaches to get uniform sizes and colors chosen. We are limiting each player to two goals per game with no slide tackling allowed to keep players on their feet and minimize risk of injury. Forms need parent signature and copy of birth certificate. Challenge soccer teams will be forming for the fall season. Tryouts will be at the Macon County Industrial Park Soccer fields at 6:00PM on Tuesday and Thursday May 25 and May 27.

Cost for the fall season is $160 for all players. The fees cover uniform, backpack, training equipment and referees’ fees.

There are typically four home games in Franklin and four away games in Western North Carolina. Games start in September and run through October.

Teams are formed depending on available coaches and player interest.

Bring copy of birth certificate, passport size picture for player card, and a refundable $60.00 to tryouts.

The Macon County Soccer Club is hosting a recreation league soccer referee clinic on Saturday, May 1st from 10am to 12pm at the Macon County Public Library. The clinic is for anyone 12 years and older that would like to referee recreational level games for the MCSC. The MCSC pays referees for each game. Instruction will cover the duties and procedures for center refs and assistant refs. Rules of the games will be reviewed and materials will be given to the attendees.The MCSC always needs energetic and dependable referees.
