Challenger Sports is bringing their popular British Soccer Camp back to Franklin the week of July 11th – 15th, 2010.
Challenger's British Soccer Camp is the most popular soccer camp in the USA and Canada. Over 110,000 boys and girls will learn the "Challenger Way" at some 2500 British Soccer Camps this summer. British Soccer Camps provide players of all ages and abilities with the rare opportunity to receive high-level soccer coaching from a team of international experts.
Each day includes individual foot skills, technical drills, tactical practices, small-sided games, coached scrimmages, and a daily tournament. Equally important, the Challenger coaching staff provides your child with lessons in respect, responsibility, integrity, sportsmanship and leadership.

The Macon County Soccer Club will begin accepting registrations for the Spring soccer season on Saturday, January 8th from 10 am - 1 pm at the Macon County Community Building in Franklin and at the Highlands Recreation Park in Highlands. Registration forms will be available at the registration table. The last day to registrer will be February 15th.
The Eighth annual Spring Soccer Season will be starting on April 10th running until the first weekend of June. Groups will be divided by age group and gender depending on the number of players signing up. This is a great opportunity for a new player to learn the game of soccer or for an established player to improve individual skills. Our goal is to provide a fun and competitive environment for all players. Come join us!
Children age 4 and up are welcome and will be placed on teams according to age. The registration fee is $50 for players returning from the fall season and $60 for new registrations. The registration fee covers uniform (jersey, shorts and socks), state registration and referee fees. All new players must provide a photocopy of their birth certificate.
The Macon County Soccer Club will host an Entry Level Grade 08 Referee Certification Clinic on Friday, January 28th, 29th & 30th. The clinic will be from 7pm to 9 pm on Friday and from 8am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday. All three sessions must be attended and no late arrivals or early departures are permitted. George Gately with the NC Soccer Referees Association will be conducting the clinic. The cost for the clinic is $75.00 and payment is due January 28th at registration (checks payable to NCSRA). You can also regsiter online. Must be 14 years or older by January 30th. The clinic will be held at 55 Holly Springs Park Drive in the Westcare Medical Park (above Walmart). Marlene Lane with Creative Images Photography will be taking pictures again this fall and a portion of every package sold will go directly to the Macon County Soccer Club. You can print out the picture order form to see the various packages and options that are available. Please plan to be there at your assigned time even if you do not plan on purchasing pictures so that a complete team picture can be taken. The Macon County Soccer Club is currently accepting registrations for the Fall Soccer season. We will have final registrations July 12th - 16th during British Soccer Camp from 9am - 11am at the Industrial Park soccer fields. You can also register on Thursday, July 15th from 6pm - 8pm and the Macon County Community Building. The deadline for registering for the Fall season is July 16th.
