Tim Teague will be doing the work. Seth has applied for the permit from the state and needs to talk with SCC. Will also need to reimburse Matt Maple for uniforms and equipment (corner flags). Jason: Mark Apel may possibly consider taking the head coach position. Will shadow Jason this fall. Also, need to split this position between two people, one for the fall, and one for the spring. Bill Balog to take this position. Spoke with Tim Nash with NCYSA< about putting on a coaching clinic for certification. Also, possibly Challenge to have a class for participants to get an E license. The clinic will be held the second weekend in August and offered to surrounding counties. We need to plan the coaching clinic/meeting for recreation coaches to go over rules and offer drill suggestions. Hopefully do this at the end of soccer camp. Concession-Lori: Making a new order to finish the season. This spring season better than last spring’s season. May possibly look into seeing if Frito Lay can deliver products to us. Cutshaw sent and invoice for setting up the web page, to show the amount being donated to the club. Registration: June 1, 4: cost: $45.00 July 11,13,15: cost: $50,00, $45.00 for the second child. Times for all registrations: 5:30 –7:00 at the community building. Highlands: Early Bird: Jun 1, 5:00-7:00pm. July 11th, 5:00-7:00 p.m. July 15th, 10:00 am –12:00 p.m Will send out notices through the schools and make a few posters to advertise. Fund Raising: Discussed the possibility of players selling cookie dough. This is just something to think about, because it would be done by individuals, not sure if it would be worth time and effort. There is a program where players sell cards with stickers from meal deals at local restaurants, like Dominoes, and Subway. Each card sells for $12.00 and has 37 stickers. If a player sells five cards, he/she will get one free. Can work this out several ways: One is to purchase all the cards up front then sell. This way the cards cost $ 4.75 per card. Can also have players take orders, then order what is needed, cards will cost $5.75. Dee to look further into this and report at next meeting. There is also a plan for a coupon book through Drake for The Factory. Will charge $5.00 per book. Challenge Tryouts: June 4th, plan to field three teams, U 10,11, 12 boys, U 10,11, 14 girls. The Challenge State meeting is being held in Greensboro on June 3rd, and Jason is planning on attending. Approximately $1,200 left in account after bills are paid. The U 14 boys undefeated this season, came in first for their division. U 11 boys record 7-1, first in division, second overall. U 10 boys record, 701, U 11 Cashiers record 3-3. U 12 girl’s record 3-5, U 10 girls record 6-2, came in fourth out of 12 in their division. Pump: Matt will continue to work on getting everything working. Dan to talk with David Rusch about plugging the field. Storage shed: Once the grading is complete will begin working on. The shed will be 12 x 16. Have ½ cement, 2/3 of materials. Lights: County acquired 6-8 lights. Plan for 2 lights to go in on the Cullasaja football field, and 4 lights on the soccer field. Need to figure a way to pay for the poles and putting in the lights. Need to store the lights for now. Meeting adjourned at 8:37 p.m. Beverly Stribling
