Bill Balog will be head coach for the spring. Need to have a coaching clinic. NCYSA working on putting on a clinic in the future with the three modules ( ages, 6-8, 9-11, and 12 and older). There is also a possibility of having a coach from ABYSA come and do a clinic that would give basically the same type of information which is the rules of the game and exercises to do with teams. Jason to check and see what it cost to do so that we can have one before the season starts. When the state does a clinic, hope that it also offers the E license. This cost $60.00 per person. Eventually want all challenge coaches to have this level of licensure. Suggested that the title change from head coach to coaching coordinator. Jason made the motion, Matthew seconded, all approved. Need a head referee Highlands: Had 10 registered for the fall at the last registration. Looking to find someone to assist Christy. Franklin Registrar: Had 78 register for the fall. Still have registrations coming up: July 11th 5:30-8:00, July 13th 5:30-8:00, and July 15th 10:00 –1:00. Matt B. suggested that we put some registration forms at the community building for people to go and sign up. The staff there will keep the paper and money for us to pick up. He will take some forms by the office. Will send postcards to players in Clayton about registration. Concessions, Lori: Would like to find someone to run the stand during the games. She is happy to help by getting food and drinks. Matt and Jason stated they would talk with Samantha and Jodi to see if they may possibly work together on it. Challenge: Have the following teams: U10 boys, U12 boys, and U 11 girls. May possibly have U 14 girls. Cherokee would like to have a challenge team and register through MCSC. Motion by Beverly, seconded by Bill for Jason for them to be allowed to do so. Fundraising, Dee: Still gathering information on the cards presented last month. Will start to solicit for banners for fall season. Soccer camp: So far, there are 35 players signed up. Old Business: Need to get challenge coaches to register with NCSA at www.ncsoccer.org Grading and hydroseeding has been completed. Hopefully the slab for the storage shed will be poured soon. Irrigation: The field has been leveled. We need to get up the rocks. Need to wait before doing more work with the irrigation system due to county having to run sewer lines for the new SCC building. Not sure where the line will come through on the soccer fields. Once this information is known we can continue. The sewer line work will hopefully be done during the winter months. Sports Loyalty Program: Sent a list of board members emails to them so that we can preview the program. No one has heard anything from them yet. Need to have an itemized list of the improvements of the soccer fields that we received from Jeff Weller for UPS to help. Christy to let him know to create a list for us. Still planning on having David Rusch plug the fields. Meeting adjourned at 8:40 p.m Beverly Stribling
