Board Meeting Minutes
June 10th, 2008
Members present were: Frank Cline, Jeff Weller, Michelle Thornton, Chris Thornton, Deanne Opperman, Mark Apel, Guy Gooder, Tim McSween, Candy McSween, Janet Pruitt, Charlena Cline, Rita Esterwood, and Tony Esterwood.
Recreation Meeting
The following work days are scheduled: Thursday 6/19, Thursday 6/26, and Tuesday 7/1. The time will be at 6:30 p.m.
Jeff Weller made a motion for a one month ad hoc committee to discuss setting up subcommittees. This committee consists of Jeff Weller, Frank Cline, Chris Thornton, and Guy Gooder. Mark Apel seconded the motion.
During the spring soccer season, there were 150 soccer picture packages sold. This fundraiser raised $450.
Bi-lo forms were handed out. You need to activate the program by scanning your Bi-lo card and then scanning the bar code from the form. If you are supporting multiple organizations, the program can be divided between them. Tim McSween will put the Bi-lo forms on our soccer website.
The money deposited into the challenge account was $2700. The following 5 teams were formed: U11 boys, U12 boys, U12 girls, U14 girls, and U16 girls.
Concessions reported a net profit of $528.18.
There will be lunches sold during the British Soccer Camp. The profits will go to the U14 and U16 girls teams for soccer summer camp. There will not be any food products used from the soccer club. Jeff Weller made a motion to approve this and Janet Pruitt seconded the motion.
A motion was made for the U16 girls team to use the fields for practice on Sunday night by unanimous vote.
There are 65 children signed up for the British soccer camp so for.
There will be a coach's clinic from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. on July 8th.
The challenge account had $6585.45, the recreation account had $5200.31, and the fields account had $2098.28.
Challenge Meeting
The following game dates are scheduled for the fall season: September 6th- October 25th.
The cost will be $150 per player. However, if a player does not need a new bag, then the cost will be $100.
